Custom restrictions

From January 1st 2011 it is forbidden to bring any form of beer, wine, spirits or any other form of alcoholic drinks with you when you come into Greenland.

 

During the flight we are pleased to give you an opportunity to buy tax free goods at very competitive prices. We offer cosmetics, spirits and tobacco, accessories, Greenlandic handicraft and many great things for children. You can pay with a credit card on board. We accept: Dankort, Visa and Diners. Tobacco, liqour, wine and beer may only be sold to persons over the age of 18.

From January 1st 2011 it is forbidden to bring any form of beer, wine, spirits or any other form of alcoholic drinks with you when you come into Greenland. From this date the regulations concerning tax-free import of goods to Greenland have been changed.

Duty Regulations entering Greenland

  • Cigarettes 40 pcs.
    or Cigarillos (max. 3 gr. a piece) 10 pcs.
    or Cigars 5 pcs.
    or rolling tobacco 50 grams
  • Cigarette papers 100 pcs.
  • Perfume 50 grams
  • Eau de toilette 250 ml.
  • In addition, cosmetics and other toiletries
    up to a maximum value of DKK 1.000,-
  • Chocolate or confectionary 4 kilos
  • Coffee or tea 4 kilos
  • Meat, meat products or poultry 5 kilos
     

Duty Regulations entering Denmark

  • Cigarettes 200 pcs.
    or Cigarillos (max. 3 g. a piece) 100 pcs.
    or Cigars 50 pcs.
    or rolling tobacco 250 gram
  • Spirits above 22% 1 litre
    or dessert wine below 22% 2 litres
  • Table wine 4 litres
  • Beer 16 litres
Duty Regulations entering Iceland

  • 200 cigarettes or
  • 250 grams of other tobacco products

Alcoholic beverages for passengers aged 20 years
of age and older:

  • 1 litre of spirits and 1 litre of wine or
  • 1,5 litres of spirits and 6 litres of beer or
  • 1 litre of wine and 6 litres of beer or
  • 2.25 litres of wine

3 kg of food, not exceeding the value of ISK 18,500

For residents outside Iceland: Items such as
clothing and travel gear that are for personal use
and considered suitable and normal for the purpose
of the visit, length of stay and general circumstances
and gifts, however. Each gift may not exceed
ISK 10,000.

For residents of Iceland: Articles obtained abroad
or in the duty free shop in Iceland to the value of
ISK 65,000. A single item may not exceed ISK 32,500.
