Your luggage allowance is 20 kilos when travelling on economy class.
-And 1 piece of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kilos.
Your luggage allowance is 30 kilos when travelling on business class.
-And 2 pieces of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kilos in total.
Air Greenland has interline agreements for checking baggage through with SAS and DAT (Danish Air Transport) on the companies’ routes between Copenhagen and Aalborg, Aarhus and Billund, Sønderborg and Rønne.
Please inform the staff at check-in Greenland when you have a connecting flight with either SAS or DAT and show your itinerary.
The agreement means that when Air Greenland’s passengers fly to one of the mentioned domestic airports in Denmark with SAS or DAT, baggage can be checked through to the final destination. It is not necessary to pick up baggage at Copenhagen and check it in again. The agreement only applies to baggage. Passengers must still collect a new boarding card from SAS or DAT in the Transfer Centre upon arrival at Copenhagen.
In order to check baggage through, there must be a minimum of 45 minutes of transit time from Air Greenland’s actual arrival in Copenhagen and the connecting flight. This means that if you land on time, you can catch a connecting flight to Aalborg, Aarhus or Rønne.
We recommend everyone with connecting flights to take out Late Arrival Insurance.

Interline baggage agreement with Icelandair
Air Greenland has an agreement with Icelandair regarding checking baggage through to final destination.
Your baggage can be checked through if there are at least 45 minutes between your inbound flight and your outbound flight at Keflavik International Airport.
At check-in you must show a valid travel document for your connecting flight(s).
Remember to collect your boarding card at the Transfer Centre when you arrive in Keflavik.
We recommend everyone with connecting flights to take out Late Arrival Insurance.
In the case of delays, missed departures or other irregularities, Air Greenland, SAS, DAT and Icelandair do accept any responsibility for each other’s passengers or baggage.
All passengers are, in addition to checked luggage, allowed to bring hand luggage with max. dimensions 55 x 40 x 23 cm and weighing max. 8 kilos.
Your are allowed to bring 1 piece of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kilos when travelling on economy class.
Your are allowed to bring 2 pieces of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kilos in total when travelling on business class.
However, tax free goods are allowed without a hand luggage tag. Air Greenland reserves the right to stow extra hand luggage in the aircraft’s hold.
It is always a good idea to carry any medication you need in your hand luggage to avoid problems if your checked luggage is delayed.
Before you pack your hand luggage please note the special regulations for liquids and creams carried in hand luggage.
In addition to the free luggage allowance, the following may also be taken on board:
• one small handbag/purse
• one small camera/binoculars
• reading material for the journey
• one coat or one cape
• one blanket
• one umbrella or walking stick

Your luggage is weighed at check-in. It must not weigh more than 20 kilos when you travel on economy class and 30 kilos on business class. Infants under two years of age have a baggage allowance of 10 kg checked, weighed baggage and one stroller.
Your luggage is tagged for your final destination and a copy of the luggage tag is stuck to your itinerary. Look after your luggage tag, you may need it to identify your luggage if it is lost or delayed. It is also your receipt and it will be required it you have to make an insurance claim.

Air Greenland is not liable for damage to fragile or perishable baggage. Travellers who bring fragile items such as musical instruments, rifles and computers (laptops), must wrap these items securely, so they are not damaged during transport.
It is a good idea to check the weight of your luggage before you go to the airport. If it weighs more than the respectively 20 and 30 kg, you will be charged a fee per. commenced additional kg. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the normal price pr. kilo pr. route on the route you fly. Maximum weight pr luggae is 30 kilos.
Do you have more than 75 kg overweight, it should be booked well in advance of departure. The ordering of excess baggage must be implemented by the travel agency where you booked the journey, or if you have booked your travel online, you must write to websupport@airgreenland.gl When you book your excess baggage please state weight in kilos, number of pieces and the dimensions (length x width x height). Since capacity varies with the individual aircraft and helicopter types, we recommend that you book your excess baggage at the same time as you book your flight. Payment for excess weight will be charged at confirmation.
If it becomes necessary to cancel the weight you are entitled to a refund if you cancel the booking for excess baggage up to two days before scheduled departure, but a service charge and a charge per planned travel day will be deducted. Excess baggage under 75 kilos cannot be booked and can only be confirmed at check-in on the day of departure.
