Air Greenland welcomes you to Qaarsut

Qaarsut is a small settlement situated on the northern side of the Nuussuaq Peninsular. There is an airport with connections to Ilulissat and Upernavik as well as a helicopter connection to and from Uummannaq. It should really be thought of as Uummannaq’s airport, but when the airport was to be constructed, it was not technically possible to locate it on Uummannaq Island so it was built at Qaarsut instead.

There are no traditional tourist facilities, but bring your own tent, it’s a great place to learn about life in a settlement where fishing and hunting dominate day-to-day life all year round.
