Training at Air Greenland

Air Greenland offers several different training opportunities ranging from cabin personnel to aircraft mechanics and pilots. We have a wide range of workplaces both in the air and on the ground.

As one of Greenland's largest workplaces we require motivated, skilled people who are ready to take on professional and people-related challenges – in an occasionally hectic atmosphere – in a dynamic company. A sense of responsibility, cooperation and flexibility are absolute requirements for employees in the exciting and challenging world of aviation.

Almost 500 Air Greenland employees work at 19 destinations in Greenland and Denmark (Copenhagen), and our employees constitute factor that is crucial for our future.

Air Greenland runs the following training programmes:

Aircraft mechanic
Safety has the highest priority on all our aircraft and this makes great demands on our aircraft mechanics who undertake maintenance and repair work on helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.

Cargo assistant
Cargo assistants have a very varied and interesting workday, with import/export of post and cargo, customer services and planning with regard to outgoing and incoming flights.

Cabin personnel
The greatest responsibility of the cabin personnel is to give passengers a pleasant experience on board our aircraft based on quality, service and, most of all, safety.

Pilot
Air Greenland makes great demands on its cockpit personnel who are responsible for the safety and comfort of the passengers in cooperation with the cabin personnel. The paramount task of the pilot is to ensure that passengers arrive safely at their destinations.

Airport terminal worker
Airport terminal workers have a wide scope of work within receipt and delivery of post and cargo, palletizing for departing aircraft, sorting incoming shipments and store keeping.

Traffic assistant
Traffic assistants provide services to passengers in connection with departures and arrivals. They check tickets, check passengers and baggage in and inform passengers about changes in departure times.

Air Greenland offers training in a dynamic and varied environment that makes demands on you. If you are interested in learning more about training opportunities at Air Greenland, please contact Air Greenland Training Center on +299 34 34 34 or Send e-mail
