Flying at a height of 10 kilometres at almost 900 km/h is usually harmless. But for some passengers, for example expectant mothers or the chronically sick, there may be problems
Expectant mothers: You cannot fly with us on routes to Denmark at less than four weeks before expected delivery because the flight takes more than four hours. At 2 weeks or less before expected delivery you cannot fly with us as an ordinary passenger on our domestic flights. You are welcome to take medical transportation as a stretcher patient or sitting patient accompanied by a midwife or a doctor. The purpose of these regulations is to ensure the safety of you and your child.
Effects of alcohol: Cabin pressure causes your body to react differently to alcohol than it would on the ground. For safety reasons, and out of consideration to our other passengers, we may therefore deny boarding to intoxicated passengers, just as we may also refuse to serve alcohol during the flight.. But you can always ask for water or juice.
Chronic sickness: Due to pressure changes in the cabin during the flight, passengers suffering from heart or respiratory problems may experience some discomfort. As a rule of thumb, if you are able to go up and down the stairs to the first floor without problems, you will also be able to take a flight. Ask your doctor, if you are in doubt.
Recent surgery: Contact your doctor for information.
Contagious passengers: If you suffer from one of the following diseases, you may not fly while you are contagious: measles, rubella (German measles) and chicken pox. If you have whooping cough or mumps you may not fly while you are ill. Contact your doctor for more information.
