About Ikerasak

Ikerasak is a settlement on an island located south of Uummannaq. Its location offers plenty of fishing and hunting of seal, halibut, catfish, reindeer and musk ox all year round. An Air Greenland helicopter provides services between Ikerasak and Uummannaq.

How do I get there?

Fly from Kangerlussuaq to Ilulissat, then you fly from Ilulissat to Qaarsut.
From Qaarsut you take the helicopter to Uummannaq and then to Ikerasak.

How do I get around?

By foot or by sea with locals. Dogsleds are a frequent means of transportation during winter and spring
