Saattut is a small settlement that is situated 26 kilometres northeast of Uummannaq. The settlement derives its name from the flat islands on which the settlement is located, which are an unusual sight in a region that's characterised by numerous high fells with steep slopes. The primary occupation in the town is fishing.
