You arrive by plane from Nuuk to Ilulissat—the town by the icebergs. Even during the descent, you’ll catch a glimpse of what awaits: icebergs in all shapes and sizes drifting majestically through Disko Bay. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to the comfortable Hotel Arctic, where one of our local representatives will welcome you and host a short briefing about your journey. 

In the afternoon, you may choose to join a guided city tour to learn about Ilulissat’s history, culture, and daily life. Alternatively, visit the sled dog yard for an authentic encounter with Greenland’s working dogs. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Brasserie Ulo or treat yourself to a gourmet experience at Restaurant Ulo.

After breakfast at the hotel, start your day with a hike to Sermermiut—a historic Inuit settlement offering panoramic views of the Icefjord. The trail is easy and combines nature and culture beautifully. 

Later, you may opt for a helicopter tour to Kangia Glacier—a spectacular experience that takes you soaring over the icy terrain and landing near the glacier’s towering ice walls. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed day with a coastal walk, a visit to local museums, or a quiet moment on the hotel terrace.

Optional: Sermermiut hike, helicopter tour to Kangia Glacier, dinner  

In the morning, you sail north to Eqi Glacier. Along the way, you’ll pass icebergs, mountains, and perhaps even a humpback whale before arriving at Glacier Lodge Eqi—a unique destination in the heart of the wilderness. Here, nature takes center stage, with the magnificent Eqi Glacier as the backdrop! 

Your stay includes a guided hike to the glacier moraine, full board, and a night in a glamping tent with panoramic views—or in an upgraded cabin, if selected. You may also choose to add a hike to the delta or a relaxing session in the Glacier Sauna.

After breakfast, you sail back to Ilulissat. In the evening, you may join an icefjord cruise to experience the sculptural beauty of the icebergs from the water—a peaceful and majestic way to end your journey. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up and transferred to the airport. Your flight returns to Nuuk, leaving you enriched with unforgettable experiences and a camera full of icebergs, glaciers, and Greenlandic summer.
