In the afternoon, you have the option to join a guided hike on Tele Island (Sallinnguit), where you’ll gain insight into 4,000 years of Greenlandic history and see traces of Inuit life and their encounters with European traders. Alternatively, you can visit the sled dog village to get up close to Greenlandic sled dogs – and perhaps even meet some puppies. The evening can be rounded off with dinner at the hotel or in town.

After breakfast, you have several options to explore Sisimiut’s spectacular surroundings. Take a boat trip to the abandoned settlement of Assaqutaq, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the fish factory, church, and old houses – a journey back to the mid-20th century and a rare opportunity for peace and reflection.

Alternatively, join an ATV safari through Sisimiut’s backcountry. The route passes the sled dog village and continues into the Nasaasaaq Valley, where you’ll experience mountain peaks, waterfalls, and panoramic views of the Davis Strait. Along the way, there are breaks with refreshments and a chance to taste crystal-clear mountain water.
